Next Bee: Monday, February 8 8pm

There are fewer days in February yet you will still get your full 40 written words if you participate in the next edition of the Seattle Spelling Bee. It truly is the most spelling fun you can have with your clothes on.

January results
Congratulations to Josh, the first spelling champion of the decade, and Randy Hilfman, the runner up. All forty of the written words are listed below:

Josh correctly spelled 32 of the 40 words, the most of anyone competing. Many of the spellers were clumped around the 50% mark which actually gives them a better chance at picking up the Coinflip Bounty prizes of $100 or $250 in cold hard cash money dollars.

Format
In the first portion of the evening competitors will write down each of the 40 words read by the host. After the results are tabulated the top twelve spellers will move on to the verbal portion of the contest where it is do or die. One miss and you're out. The best speller of the night will receive $25 off of their tab while the runner up receives $15 off. Entry fee is only five dollars for an evening full of words and spectators can watch for free! As always, there will be mini-games with prizes available for spellers and spectators alike.
