There is a private event scheduled for the second Monday of June in the Spelling Lounge so we will not have access to it for next month's bee. Send an email to
info@seattlespellingbee.com if you have any preferences about relocating to the (noisier) restaurant area, changing the day of the week, or moving the bee to an adjacent Monday.
May Results
The Spelling Lounge was on fire with knowledge at the May event. There were many returning champions and some scorching scores including what appears to be the highest written score ever by Josh, a 38/40! Take a look at the words and their accuracy rates on the

Format
In the first portion of the evening competitors will write down each of the 40 words read by the host. After the results are tabulated the top twelve spellers will move on to the verbal portion of the contest where it is do or die. One miss and you're out. The best speller of the night will receive $25 off of their tab while the runner up receives $15 off. Entry fee is only five dollars for an evening full of words and spectators can watch for free! As always, there will be mini-games with prizes available for spellers and spectators alike.

Eat, drink, SPELL
Located just off the southern tip of Lake Union, Jillian's is the venue for the Bee. Sit back, relax, and spell your words in the comfortable confines of the Spelling Lounge (in the southeast corner of the upper floor) while servers bring you your choice of drinks from their bar or edibles off of their food menu. Plenty of free street and lot parking available.
